CLASS OF 2022 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
11 Scholarships (including the Edwin O. Smith Award and the new Fran Archambault Scholarship) Awarded This Year!
This year’s recipients are:
The recipient of the 2022 Edwin O. Smith Award is Aminieli Hopson
As a student, Aminieli has taking rigorous classes here at E.O. Smith. He has been a member of various athletic teams where he has demonstrated sustained leadership. He also could be seen working with fellow students through Deliberation and Discourse events or as a world language tutor. Principal DeLoreto said, "the energy and poise that he brings to all that he does is remarkable and he has uplifted and strengthen our school and the community as a founder of the Cultural Awareness Brigade."

Sabrina Calande: Sabrina will be attending Manchester Community College this fall with plans to move on to get a degree in illustration.
Julianna Kozyra: Julianna will be attending Eastern Connecticut State University and will be majoring in psychology.
Jade-Rodriguez Falcon: Jade will be attending Manchester Community College in the fall to study Radiologic Science
Nicholas Simpson: Nick will be attending the University of Saint Joseph to play soccer and study Business.
Veterans of Foreign Wars Scholarships:
Erin Dwyer: Erin will be attending the university of Rhode Island to study business.
Dylan Logsdon: No information is available.
Jack Cohen Science Prize:
Yenevy Juarez Hernandez: Yenevy was admitted into the Nursing School at Uconn. She would like to become a Pediatric Oncology RN.
Herbert James Segar Scholarship Fund:
Carissa Adams: Carissa will be studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maine.
The David C. Stearns Memorial Scholarship:
Keira Klein: Keira will be attending Landmark College and majoring in life science.
The Francis Archambault Scholarship*:
Mira Mahmoud: Mira be attending the University of Hartford and studying exercise science. Mira will play soccer in her upcoming years at UHART.
